About Insight 2013

Have you ever wondered why it that one person’s response to a piece of artwork may be entirely
different from his friend’s?

Simply because each and every one of us is unique, and that is what Insight hopes to produce – a tapestry of the diverse responses to the short stories of READ! Singapore 2013; responses and interpretation from people from all walks of life: youths, adults, senior citizens – everyone.

In support of the READ! Singapore 2013 by National Library Board (NLB), the insight competition is organized by The Frontier YEC to take place in the period of June to August. It includes a nation-wide competition that seeks to provide insights into the various short stories through the eyes of an ordinary resident by collating, exploring, exhibiting and crediting these distinctive responses from the masses.

We therefore hold this competition to invite everyone to submit their individual interpretation or responses of any of the short stories in the collection of READ! Singapore 2013 in the form of a picture-essay or literal prose/poem, and have the chance to have their work exhibited.
